Quality Assurance Manager

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Target Rock team!

As our Quality Assurance Manager you will assists in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System. You will maintain all aspects of the Quality Assurance function for Energy Products ensuring all contract requirements are met.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary/hourly rate: $118,300 to $140,000

Your Challenge

  • Develop and coordinate the initiation of instructions and procedures relative to the Quality function.

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain Target Rock Quality Management System and related Quality Procedures.

  • Interface with customer, regulatory and utility representatives.

  • Evaluate and detect quality trends to identify significant problems and obtain / recommend appropriate action to be taken.

  • Provide technical and quality support to other operating departments.

  • Interface with other operating departments on matters concerning quality; (i.e. design review, procedure review, contract and specification review, travelers etc.).

  • Provide leadership and guidance to those within and out of the department.

  • Provide inter and intra departmental training.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Target Rock Director of Quality Assurance.

What You Bring

  • Four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years in Quality Management experience or,

  • High School Graduate with fifteen or more (15+) years in a manufacturing facility as a Nuclear Quality Engineer.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of, NCA4000, ASME Section III, NQA-1, 10 CFR50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21 and a working knowledge of MIL-Q-9858 or ISO9001.

  • Must be able to communicate with customer, regulatory and inter-department personnel.

  • Nuclear Quality Assurance background preferably with ASME Industrial Nuclear Program and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

  • Must be innovative with practical writing skills.

  • Auditing skills required.
