Job Summary:

Caterpillar is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst who consults and leads projects for a wide range of technology-related issues for internal and external customers while adhering to standards and processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Consult on client requirements and propose technology solutions and business cases; guide in evaluating, selecting, and utilizing new and existing tools and techniques.

  • Provide subject-matter expertise and solutions on comprehensive technology issues for internal and external customers.

  • Lead the design, testing, and technology implementation of technical projects while collaborating with senior IT staff.

  • Ensure that the design and implementation of technologies are in compliance with existing standards and processes.

  • Provide ongoing L3 support to L1/L2 analysts to promptly address business-critical incidents and service requests.

What you have:

  • Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift, container technology, Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere, Introscope, and Linux OS; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift product Version 4.x.

  • Experience with container technology, OpenShift Container Platform, and Kubernetes.

  • Experience building Podman images with knowledge of Tomcat and Apahce.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Linux operating system.

  • Experience securing Cloud Formation/Terraform IaC

  • Proficiency in measuring and securing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments in AWS and Azure

  • Experience with Python, YAML, and JSON

  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and most CSP-native security tools such as Service Control Policies, CloudWatch, Control Tower, or Azure Security Center

  • Experience working in container platform monitoring and alerts for resource availability, such as Introscope.

  • Experience with WebSphere

  • Experience collaborating across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and services.

  • An accredited, four-year Information Technology degree, a closely relatedtechnical degree, OR 6 years of equivalent work-related experiences with an Associates Degree preferred
