Overview
Kimley-Horn's Eden Prairie, Minnesota (MN) office is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Solar Structures team.
Responsibilities
Assist with the structural design and engineering aspects of utility-scale solar projects
This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solar engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects
As a critical member of a fast-growing team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, client interactions and business development
Qualifications
4+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering
PE License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as a team
