MTC Student Intern, Food Services in Edinburgh, Indiana

SALARY $17.20

4-8 Mon-Fri, or 4-8 Mon and 9am to 1pm and 3pm - 7pm on Sat and Sun, or 5am - 7:30am Mon-Fri

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform clean‑up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.

  2. Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.

  3. Weigh, measure and mix ingredients as directed.

  4. Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing, eye-appealing manner.

  5. Participate in student employability programs and activities.

  6. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Must be completer and ready for work based learning. Must be able to obtain servsafe certification within 90 days of employment. Should have aptitude for kitchen‑type duties, must dress to comply with sanitation regulations.
