SIUE is classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a Doctoral/Professional University, and as such, our institution is dedicated to exemplary student instruction. As a Tenure track faculty in the School of Nursing, there is an expectation to demonstrate competent teaching across the curriculum, including didactic, clinical, and online setting and in our graduate and/or undergraduate programs. Additionally, tenure track faculty are expected to maintain a program of scholarship relevant to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, and/or the education of nurses and to engage in service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies relevant to the mission of the organization.\ \ The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Nursing educates, empowers, and engages learners to achieve excellence in nursing. Since 2012, the School of Nursing faculty has been involved in research and program grant funding over 30 million dollars.
