Embedded Software Engineer
ATEC is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Development, Maintenance and Testing of Real-Time Embedded Software in support of the ASR-9 Radar System.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be proficient with C or other high-level software language.
Must be proficient in LINUX.
Ability to learn a new language or already have experience with PLM-86.
Experience in designing, developing, optimizing, coding, testing, reviewing and debugging embedded systems with real-time multitasking operating systems.
Designs and develops code for physical hardware devices utilizing software applications to solve problems and implement systems.
Experience with utilizing a Logic Analyzer to troubleshoot embedded computer systems.
Validate and integrate new designs for the complex systems.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Track preparation and delivery status of required deliverables.
Attend and may lead meetings, design reviews, working group and briefings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field
OR
- Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
Has been living in the US for a minimum of 3 years
