PDx is world leader in producing imaging agents administered to patients to improve images used to diagnose and monitor disease. The Lindesnes site is strategic to the PDx Value Stream manufacturing API for x-ray contrast agents. (40% of world x-ray market)

The Global Functions LEAN Leader role is part of a global team responsible for the design, adoption, and execution of the LEAN transformation roadmap for the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics Integrated Supply Chain Business. The successful candidate will partner with Supply Chain business leaders primarily within the global support functions (HR, Finance, Technology) as well as deployment and support of the GEHC Business Management System (Heartbeat). The Global Functions Lean Leader will have hands on experience of applying Lean principles and driving results through continuous improvement.

This role is critical to driving the cultural change required to move GEHC PDx to a true LEAN organisation. The role requires hands-on experience of applying Lean tools, principles and coaching lean behaviors to deliver results through continuous improvement to drive a cultural change.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain Functions Leadership to support the delivery of business priorities using Lean.

  • Drive the execution of kaizens and Lean events to deliver on the Continuous Improvement roadmap.

  • Identify major processes, key performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement opportunities.

  • Build, implement, and measure Standard Work (SW)

  • Establish and drive sustainment of Daily Management across the business partner’s processes.

  • Ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management and a true “embrace the red” culture.

  • Responsible for driving Lean Maturity levels across the Value Stream as per the GE HC Lean Framework

  • Development and deployment of a Kaizen funnel required to achieve objectives for the year and/or as part of a multi-year program.

  • Develop Lean capabilities by training and coaching key team members to build Lean muscle within the organization, resulting in less reliance on the central lean team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical or analytical domain with a preference for Supply Chain Manufacturing related degrees (Business, Economics, Engineering)

  • Experience in regulated industries

  • Proven success in leading significant business process improvement

  • Experience leading large Lean transformational rollout across multiple types of businesses or industries, complex and interdependent initiatives in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven successful application of Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, , Visual Daily Management, Policy Deployment

  • Willing to travel up to 30%
