Develops and supports programs and procedures to meet facility objectives and targets in EHS; Directs all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner; Maintains necessary EHS records; Insures compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives; Supports customer EHS requirements (i.e. IMDS); Supports and manage corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits; Coordinates all EHS training; Reports directly to division management and at staff meetings on EHS matters; Insure the training of new facility EHS Coordinators; Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under Corporate direction manage EPA actions such as, but not limited to, NOV’s, cleanups and complaints; Directs the division’s waste management (recycling) program; Supports and integrates EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts; Attends biannual EHS Conference or annual Country council meetings

Evaluate and recommend preventive systems to reduce risks in accordance with current regulations.

Ensure compliance with legal obligations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Propose preventive measures to lower the risk factor (prima de riesgo de trabajo).

Prevent potential environmental and workplace accidents.

Promote a culture of safety and compliance for the benefit of employees.

Provide continuous training for personnel.

Ensure compliance with safety routines and risk identification.

Ensure that personnel adhere to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety measures.

Sign off and control checklists.

Develop action plans in case of incidents/accidents.

Maintain documentation controls that demonstrate compliance with STPS regulations, including procedures, logs, photographic evidence, instructions, and manuals.

Handle chemicals: review implications of handling, waste disposal, labeling, and internal handling procedures.

Inspect machinery and processing equipment to ensure they have guards and safety devices, and monitor that personnel use them correctly and ergonomically.

Manages small to medium sized maintenance projects.

Coordinate repairs and improvement projects to include warehouse and office areas, pavement and sidewalk repair and replacement, HVAC, security improvements, etc.

Works with Purchasing to develop/update specifications for maintenance contracts (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).

Create and review updated work procedures and instructions that are followed in the workplace.

Responsible of EHS and maintenance of the facilities

Responsible for the annual renewal of operating licenses and compliance with civil protection and STPS regulations.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-4 years of proven experience in an EHS-related role or similar position.

  • Previous and proven experience in internal audits and regulatory compliance.

    Previous and proven experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

  • TSU or bachelor’s degree.

  • Upper intermediate English
