The IT Support Technician I’s scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance.
Up to 25%
Provide technical support for Phone/In-person
Maintain physical hardware and software, including related peripherals for proper operation.
Install system software, patches, application software and utilities.
Complete and document work orders as assigned in a timely manner phone/in-person.
Provide onsite support to remote locations
Maintain the security and protection of electronic information resources to include computers, network, software and data
Maintain service delivery performance metrics
Cross training with other areas while maintaining a positive team oriented attitude and act as a collaborative team member
Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education
Performs other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time, consistent with established verbal and written policies, procedures and schedules
