Job Overview:
Provide face to face contact with patients in the psychiatric emergency room, explore services needed, support referrals, and provide follow-up calls for those discharged.

- Bachelors degree preferred
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist via Consumer Connections, or be eligible and able to complete within first 3 months
Scheduling Requirements:
Essential Functions:
Provide recovery support and peer coaching to program participants
Attend DMHAS State mandated trainings delineating peer role functions, competencies, responsibilities, and orientation to DMHAS treatment initiatives
Work with individuals to support and strengthen their capacity to engage in personal recovery through wellness services, development of recovery plans/wellness recovery action plans, education on navigating treatment social services and recovery support programs
Provide both face to face and telephone support services based on personal choice and maintain aftercare contacts based on agency procedures
