Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The industrial maintenance technician supports production operations by performing breakdown response, machine repairs, and preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance on manufacturing equipment. The industrial maintenance role involves investigating equipment failures and implementing solutions to prevent re-occurrence. The technician will also perform PLC troubleshooting, debugging, automated machine calibration, and systems optimization to meet and maintain manufacturing specifications and tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Support production operations through maintenance activities.

  • Perform breakdown response and make necessary machine repairs.

  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

  • Investigate equipment failures and implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence.

  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and debugging.

  • Conduct automated machine calibration and systems optimization to meet manufacturing specifications and tolerances.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in industrial maintenance with emphasis on supporting production operations.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting and debugging of automated manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.

  • Experience with robotics, HMI, servo, conveyor maintenance, automation, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic working knowledge of industrial automation and automated manufacturing technologies.

  • Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and vision systems.

  • Ability to install and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as sensors and switches.

  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders.

  • Ability to connect wires to motors and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, and splice wires.

  • Ability to replace or repair belts, chains, or cables on machinery.

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing Technology

Work Environment

The position is based at a new, clean, and climate-controlled battery manufacturing facility. The day-to-day responsibilities will focus on machine installations and the setup of highly automated equipment, including controls, automation, and electrical systems. The facility will support ongoing preventive, planned, and unplanned maintenance on production equipment. Initially, the work schedule will be a standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Once the plant is fully operational in 2025, the plant will run 24/7 with a 3-2-2 pattern on 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
