Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
The AP Analyst is responsible for activities and operations in the
accounts payable function for the organization. The individual analyzes
invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment and ensures timely
payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers. They are also
responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and control
reports and for contributing to the development of processes and
procedures.
Major Responsibilities:reasonable accommodations may be made to

- Oversee proper handling and coding of invoices
- Ensure all invoices have appropriate documentation and approval
prior to payment
- Reconcile account statements with vendors
- Ensure timely payment to vendors
- Assist in streamline accounts payable process
- Review and determine the appropriate general ledger account coding
- Ensure past due balances are researched and resolved
- Ensure all outstanding checks are researched and reconciled on a
monthly basis
- Communicate important accounts payable issues with the Controller
- Assist in interpreting and implementing the company policies and
procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Targeted Annual Salary - \$60,000-\$65,000
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- 2 to 3 years in general accounting and accounts payable required.
- Bachelor\'s degree in related area (accounting, finance) preferred.
Successful Essential Skills
- Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience in accounting software
- At least 2 to 3 years in general accounting and accounts payable
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly efficient data entry skills
- Detailed oriented and extremely organized
- Able to work independently
