SUMMARY
Position will support Project Management as well as the Plant Teams through assistance with scheduling, quoting, procurement, resource management, and continuous improvement. Attention to detail, and timeliness will be key to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. In addition, working with the Plant Engineering, Maintenance Operations, and Quality Teams to assist with day-to-day issue resolution, as well as long-term cost reduction, capacity improvement, cycle time reduction, and quality improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture
Set up meetings, and maintain meeting minutes
Crete Purchase requisitions, and complete goods receipts
Manage the receipt, storage and distribution of Project Equipment Documentation
Assist in development of Project Schedules by obtaining key delivery timelines, tracking key deliverables, managing assignment of tasks updating project schedules.
Maintain Plant and Equipment 2D, and 3D models and drawings
Support Projects and the Plant with facility layouts, and aid in developing work cell, and department layouts
Track Project expenses, maintain budget discipline, and prevent cost overruns
Coordinate work from Internal and External resources
Aid in identifying and mitigating risk to People, Equipment, Projects, and Westlake through active engagement with Safety, Finance, Procurement, and Team members.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The employee should have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade school
1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Excellent Organizational and Time management skills
Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, with Emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Attention to Detail
Ability to Multitask
Self-starter requiring limited supervision
Willing and eager to learn new skills
Willingness to travel to support projects (Very limited)
Visit Vendors to identify and or test Equipment
Attend Trainings for AutoCAD, Solid Works, and other identified job related development courses
Experience using AutoCAD to develop Facility Layouts, and detailed drawings
Experience using Solid Works to design parts, components, and assemblies and detailed drawings
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Prolong standing or in stationary position for up to 12 hours performing shift work
Complete repetitive movements
Bend or twist
Wear all required personal protective equipment
Work in constant noise above 85 decibels
Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
Ascend or descend stairs
