Savage is hiring a Day Trucking Logistics Supervisor for our Northern Nevada operation in Elko, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be capable of ensuring that the daily assigned activities are completed timely and accurately, providing communication to customers and team members, and coordinating yard movements with inbound/outbound trucks.
Earn $75,000-$89,000 per year based on experience

What you'll be doing:
Coordinate deliveries and related trucking activities (BOL, iSite, Geotab, training, etc.)
Share responsibility for the safety of team members in all aspects of the operation
Create and maintain dispatch to meet customer demand and contract needs by efficiently utilizing equipment and available team members. Monitor real-time conditions and customer's needs through constant communication with customer personnel, Operations Manager, and data observed from trucks' on-board data collection devices
Review relevant transportation paperwork and accurately record the data in the designated information system
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Assist with hiring, training, and ongoing improvement of the team's skills
Working with the Operations Manager in managing and reporting key metrics to enhance customer satisfaction, revenue, and manage expenses
Maintain dependability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
What you’ll need to be successful:
Strong leadership skills and attributes
Experience using logistics programs and other programs, a plus
Previous experience in dispatching transportation and customer service
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Positive and collaborative team member
Intermediate knowledge and experience in computers, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience analyzing and interpreting data with the capacity to make quick and confident decisions
Willingness to travel to an offsite location, including overnight stays, could be required
A Class A CDL is not required but is a plus (Must be able to attain DOT Medical Card), prior experience operating heavy equipment is a plus as well
Willingness to attend and pass all tests associated with job-related coursework. This includes, but it not limited to: OSHA, HazMat, MSHA
