Job T Itle: Customer Service Agent, Ocean ExportFLSA: Non-ExemptReports To: ManagerWork Location: Forest Park, GASchedule: 9am - 6pm (M - F)OVERVIEW:A global leading Freight Forwarding/ Logistics company is looking for a motivated candidate for the opening of Customer Service Agent in their Ocean Export department.The main duties include ensuring the proper and timely movement of freight and information,while providing an exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export department.By working for a major logistics company, you will be able to learn about the flow of goods across the world.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:* Arrange Ocean Export shipment processes by creating bookings with carriers.* Communicate with customers to obtain information necessary for smooth and timely freight flow.* Respond to requests for quotes and tracking of shipments.* Prepare documents such as arrival notices, export declarations, certificate of origin, letters of credit and others.* Process data entry into the company system in accordance with the company's procedures and external regulations.* Perform duties requested by Management.QUALIFICATIONS:* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)* Previous work experience as a customer service or data entry experience. (No Ocean Export experience required.
