Job description: Purchasing Agent
Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to secure parts, components, and supplies at the most competitive pricing through various suppliers
Oversee receiving duties of incoming parts and components
Track purchases, orders, and inventory levels on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and other I.T. programs
Assist the Purchasing Manager with inventory accordingly to avoid part shortages (includes weekly cycle counts)
Required Skills: Attention to detail, being organized, possessing great communication and computer skills (Excel), inventory program/cycle count/ERP experience background is preferred. This position requires standing and working in a production atmosphere & lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. The ideal candidate will also have at least 1-2 years purchasing and/or receiving experience.
