Position: Position Summary
The Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible, to install, maintain and repair machine components and parts.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Supervises: N/A
Specific Educational/ Vocational Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or vocational training.
Combination of education, experience, and training may be substituted for these requirements.
Principle Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance instructions
Trouble shooting and repair of production equipment
Perform electrical troubleshooting, mechanical/electrical preventive maintenance, general machine maintenance, and plant maintenance
Test faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation
Align, adjust, and calibrate electrical equipment according to specifications
Wears personal protective equipment as required by company policy and OSHA standards.
Perform lockout/tagout procedures for safety
Performs routine preventative maintenance as necessary.
Performs other duties/ tasks as directed by supervision or management.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
An eye for detail
The ability to visualize structural components
Working knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
Detail oriented with excellent hand/ eye coordination.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
HVAC experience helpful
Ability and capacity to train and expand knowledge based on company specifications and requirements.
Basic math skills with or without a calculator.
Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations (OSHA, EPA).
Ability to keep work area neat and clean and eliminate potential hazards.
Ability to conform to company policies/ procedures and OSHA standards with the goal of zero safety related incidents.
