General Description:
We are seeking an Associate Director of Program Management Office (PMO) for our global commercial team in the oncology sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and interest in program management, ensuring the successful execution of projects aligned with the company’s objectives. The associate director will support other groups within Global Commercial Strategy and Operations (e.g. Brand Franchise, Analytics and Insights, Market Access, Portfolio Strategy and Valuation and other Commercial Operations) and collaborate closely with other functions within the BeiGene organization. The ideal candidate will work with other team members to build out and implement processes, “ways of working”, standards and templates needed to lead and oversee the program management function supporting brand franchises and developing market launch materials to ensure the successful execution of commercial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
Essential Functions of the job:
Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies, and best practices for global commercial projects, including creating effective “ways of working” within the GCSO and partner functions.
Plan, execution, and delivery of global commercial strategy and operations projects, including playbooks to support product launches and marketing initiatives that can be leveraged across geographic markets.
Implement Agile/Scrum/Lean principles and practices to promote efficient practices and result-oriented outcomes across teams.
Develop plans with established goals, milestones, timelines, and budget. Partner with function heads, external partners, and the project team to ensure projects and programs stay on track and aligned with corporate goals while also staying within scope and budget.
Partner with Corporate Affairs to develop and implement communication plans to keep program stakeholders and the enterprise informed as our organization transforms and grows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to: Commercial, Corporate Affairs, Medical Affairs and Research and Development to align projects with organizational goals and strategies related to both the brand and disease state.
Support the development and execution of brand franchise strategies and market launch materials.
Closely monitor and track project schedules toward milestones and issue status reports, including assessment of critical path activities. Deliver objective assessment of progress and potential risks.
Partner with leadership to ensure that project teams perform optimally within the framework of a specific project by preparing and harmonizing the relevant processes, both in terms of content and adherence to timelines.
Partner with project team members for coordination and development of project presentations. Prepare and/or present periodic updates at appropriate committee meetings.
Responsible for meeting management, including set agendas, facilitate and document meetings, track issues, risks, decisions and action items
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project management.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or a related field.
PMP certification preferred
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or a related field with 8+ years of industry experience.
Strong experience in commercial pharma / biotech.
Experience in market and product launches.
Demonstrated track record of leading complex cross-functional and functional planning initiatives, a desire to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders in an early stage or new launch scenario with limited infrastructure and systems in-place.
Proficiency in identifying critical paths and risks and ability to drive early resolution of constraints and issues with a change management mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively communicate to a wider range of audience, adept at communicating complex ideas persuasively and concisely.
Strong expertise with MS Office Suite, MS Project or Smart Sheets.
