Emerson IT Provisioning Coordinator, Network in Escazú, Costa Rica

This is an IT Provisioning Coordinator position within the Emerson Service Delivery and Operations organization (SD&O). The incumbent has the primary ownership for the coordination of Managed WLAN Service provisioning as defined by Emerson IT. The role may expand to other network services as the service landscape evolves. Incumbent is responsible to deliver agreed level of services to internal customers and to use associated applications, technology and infrastructure supporting delivery of these services in an ITIL inspired environment.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

General

  • Be responsible for the coordination of primarily WLAN service-related projects within assigned territory. As LAN and WLAN services grow together, provisioning coordination may also include LAN services. Role may expand to other services and different regions on assignment basis.

  • Handle the own project portfolio (capacity, roadmap agreements, coordination with Service Delivery, data accuracy in systems used for reporting)

  • Closely collaborate with WLAN designers and WLAN implementation engineers for capacity and task management. • Provide required level of reporting and support budgeting process.

  • Collaborate with Service Owner team and any relevant IT organizations to improve the global service.

  • Follow and enforce Emerson policies and rules regarding relevant IT management, security, standards, and procedures, liaise with other teams when required.

  • Maintain the required level of skills to meet expected level of service.

  • Promote efficiency in all working practices.

  • Take on other duties, as assigned.

  • Work independently with limited oversight from manager.

Provisioning

  • Ensure optimized provisioning timeline and task coordination for the service rollout, eliminating project management complexity for local IT teams.

  • Be responsible for resource capacity management within project and own project portfolio, proactively address resource constraints, closely work with resource managers.

  • Manage the own project portfolio regarding communication with stakeholders, priorities, execution timelines, capacity.

  • Lead the regular project calls, animate the project team, and manage any conflict that could impact the success of the project.

  • Produce and communicate the associated minutes to right audience, highlighting clear actions, main decisions, and potential risk for the project. • Manage the global communication during the project lifecycle, be the bridge between the stakeholders and the Provisioning organization.

  • Contribute to the Provisioning and Service processes definition and improvement plan.

  • Make sure that the WLAN/LAN Provisioning metrics reports are accurate.

  • Make sure that agreed levels for WLAN/LAN Provisioning KPI’s are reached.

  • Participate to the necessary documentation and procedures definition and maintenance.

  • Be the actor of the CSI process to improve the current service, features, and associated tools.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Education:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • 1-3 years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure related projects of low/medium complexity, in an international, preferably large enterprise environment.

  • ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification

  • Language knowledge: proficient in business English (speaking / writing)

  • Specific skill areas should include:

  • Coordinator: Project management as used in Emerson IT (Waterfall, Agile knowledge)

  • Process improvement

  • Technical affinity, basic understanding of WLAN and LAN infrastructure and its terminology

  • An effective communicator:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Diplomacy and listening skills.

  • Ability to manage challenge of remote communications through multiple tools (Instant Messaging, email, phone, project management interface)

  • Knowledge of current trends in the specific field

  • Strong, demonstrable customer focus, diplomatic savvy

  • Flexible attitude towards working hours.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Open mind and flexible attitude towards the ambiguity inherent to a large-scale IT reorganization, including but not limiting to managing overlaps and possible conflicts.

  • Ability to learn quickly and be dynamic.
