Nestle Senior Tech Lead Release Management in Esplugues Llobregat, Spain

We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead Release Manager to be part of our IT Marketing, Sales and eBusiness Department (MSE).

The role

In order to complete our Direct to Consumers, Ecommerce Department, we are currently looking for an Release Manager - eCommerce Platform (Nescafé Dolce Gusto). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Release Manager to join our team at Nestle as we continue to expand and enhance our eCommerce platform for Nescafé Dolce Gusto. As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful deployment and release of our Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform, hosted on AWS, across multiple countries worldwide. You will work closely with our internal development team and external development agency to ensure seamless and efficient releases, while maintaining the highest level of quality and stability.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define release scope, objectives, and timelines.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive release plan, including release schedules, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Coordinate release activities, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

  • Oversee the execution of release activities, including code deployments, configuration changes, and data migrations.

  • Drive CI/CD improvements aiming to automate the deployment processes.

  • Coordinate thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the stability and functionality of the platform.

  • Implement and enforce change management processes and procedures to minimize risks and disruptions during releases.

  • Ensure proper documentation and communication of changes, including release notes and user guides.

  • Continuously improve change management practices based on industry best practices and lessons learned.

  • Establish and maintain release governance processes, including release gates and approval workflows.

  • Monitor and report on release progress, metrics, and key performance indicators.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting release status, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance release efficiency and quality.

  • Collaborate with the development team and agency to implement best practices and optimize release processes by implementing the best in class CI/CD processes.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in eCommerce platforms, AWS, and Magento.

  • Stay up to date with CI/CD industry test, test automation, DevSecOps

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role, in an eCommerce environment.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) and AWS (nice

  • to have).

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple

  • releases simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive results.

  • Experience working with development agencies or external vendors is a plus.

  • Do-er, hand-on attitude and hunger for process improvements.
