About this position:

As a condition of employment, all applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Farwest adheres to federal regulations in regard to drug-testing, which includes THC. Pre-employment drug screen and background check must be completed, post offer of employment. Job Type: Full-Time.

Schedule: Monday-Friday; Day shift.

Wage Range: $20.15-$25.40 per hour, depending on experience. 

Farwest’s Eugene Rebar location, seeks an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join their team as Quality Control Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality of epoxy coated products from beginning of coating process, through fabrication, and to the point of shipment.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform various tests on products to ensure a superior level of compliance with CRSI and ASTM standards.

  • Monitor and adjust processes as necessary to achieve maximum efficiency while following Company safety policies, and best practices in the epoxy coated rebar industry.

  • Research/write non-conformance/returned goods authorizations.

  • Formal First Article Inspections and records data on internal and/or customer provided documentation.

  • Provide written procedures for Farwest including QWIs (Quality Work Instructions), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Quality Manual Revision.

  • Weld inspections including:  Visual, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant.

  • Provide training for operators and other inspectors. Provide instructional classes for prints.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  

  • At least three (3) years inspection experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Print reading and ability to make mathematical calculations.

  • Proficient use of PC (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with Romer Arm, FARO Arm, or other CMM Planar equipment.

  • Weld inspection experience.

  • Team oriented and results driven, with the ability to work within a team of diverse individuals.
