Job Description
As the Fuel Systems Staff Engineer, you will:
Design and develop hardware that supports Advanced Technology projects and programs
Support fielded and NPI applications as required
Interface with electrical, fluid, and controls engineers to ensure tasks are captured within the technology maturation needs
Manage hardware through the design process from initial concept through ground and flight testing with a focus on technology and manufacturing readiness
Define supplier design efforts with respect to technology and manufacturing readiness
Actively participate in internal and supplier design reviews
Support engineering team members as required to ensure adherence to plans
Work within a cross-functional team of design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadership to ensure the components and system meets the application needs
Present technical and manufacturing readiness plans and status to internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in disciplinary engineering and science
Desired Characteristics
