The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Safety Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Everett, WA .

The Everett Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Team is looking for a Safety Professional to support various teams at the Everett Site. This position is encouraged to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify mitigations to existing and future EHS risks in the production system. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance and provide mentorship and cultural influence through the safety team, leadership team and airplane program. The selected candidate will work on second shift to support all EHS needs for various business units. The hours for second shift are 1:00pm to 10:00pm, but allows for limited flexibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

  • Develops and leads training and instructions

  • Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies

  • Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues

  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions

  • Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 3+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $95,200 - $128,800

Summary pay range for Senior Level: $118,150 - $159,850
