Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Fiscal Management Specialist 2 in Exton, Pennsylvania

This Fiscal Management Specialist 2 position serves as a key member to the organization's business analysis, budget, grant, and expenditures leadership within the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The incumbent assists the Bureau of Labs management with all fiscal matters related to running a public health laboratory. This includes budget preparation, grant application and status report preparation, revenue collection, expenditure monitoring, audits, budget and accounting adjustment requests, fiscal report preparation and analysis, and compliance with fiscal controls and expenditure limitations. Also, with the assistance of experts within the Department of Health, the incumbent builds and maintains an up-to-date knowledge of fiscal regulations, policies, and controls and educates and advises bureau staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time upon completion of training benchmarks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Exton. One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:
