Description This is a great job for someone who excels at coming up with creative solutions to technical issues. Robert Half is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to accommodate field users in an ever-changing, active environment with a company in the Education field. This may be the Help Desk Analyst position for you, if you have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for making effective change within an organization. Located in Fairfax, Vermont, the Help Desk Analyst opportunity is a long-term contract / temporary to hire role.
Your responsibilities in this role
Provide IT support for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other applications used internally
Spot recurring technical issues and deploy solutions to address the root of the problems
Manage correspondences on technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups
Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues Requirements - Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Familiarity with basic networking concepts
Experience in user administration and bug fixing in a client server environment
2+ years of prior experience
Experience with IT support ticketing systems
Background in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications
Practical knowledge of Linux
Quality experience with MS Windows Server 2012
Wide ranging experience with Mac OS X
Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory
Well-founded grasp of Apple iOS
Foundational knowledge in Desktop Support
Expertise in Microsoft Office 365
Earlier work involving NET+
General familiarity with Apple iOS
Proven knowledge of MS Windows 10
Troubleshoot experience
