Spherion Fargo is now interviewing experienced candidates for the role of Credit Manager for a local Fargo client. The Credit Manager is responsible for evaluating and managing the creditworthiness of customers and clients, overseeing the credit approval process, and minimizing financial risk. This role requires strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess and manage credit risk effectively to ensure the companys financial stability. This position plays a key role for overseeing credit risk and ensuring timely payments of customer's accounts.
Salary: $80-120k DOE

Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment
-Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers through analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories
-Establish and manage credit limits
-Identify and mitigate potential credit risks
Accounts Receivable Management
-Monitor accounts receivable and aging reports
-Implement and enforce credit and collection policies
-Oversee the collection of overdue accounts
-Improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
Customer Relationship Management
-Maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely payments
-Resolve customer credit and collection issues
-Work with the sales team to facilitate good customer relationships
Team Leadership and Management
-Supervise and train credit department staff
-Set performance goals and providing feedback
-Foster a positive and productive work environment
Reporting and Analysis
-Prepare and present reports on credit and collection activities
-Analyze credit data and identifying trends
-Provide insights to management on credit risk and financial performance
Policy and Procedure Development
-Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures
-Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
-Recommend changes to credit policies to minimize risk and maximize profitability
Requirements:
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections is required
-A minimum of 3 years in a management role is required
-A minimum of an Associate's degree is required
-Must have supervisory/management experience
-Minimum of 5 years within accounting
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Proficiency in financial analysis and credit risk assessment
-Knowledge of credit and collection laws and regulations
-Experience with accounting software and credit reporting systems
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred
