Aerotek Lead Assembly Technician in Fargo, North Dakota

Job Title: Lead Assembly Technician

Job Description

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for leading the assembly team in putting together beet harvest equipment. This will be a working lead role and the candidate will be expected to perform all of the following while managing the team.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and understand assembly blueprints to build harvest equipment to completion

  • Use power tools and torque tools to assemble equipment

  • Operate overhead crane to maneuver parts into place safely

  • Install discs onto tillage equipment

  • Pull inventory as needed from storage locations

  • Maintain a clean work environment at the end of each shift

Essential Skills

  • Experience with assembly

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints

  • Mechanical skills

  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools

  • Familiarity with torque tools

  • Ability to work independently off blueprints to build beet harvest equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics

  • Knowledge of production and lean manufacturing

  • Installation and finishing skills

  • Ability to work under equipment and in tight places

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally

  • Strong communication skills to work coherently with other assemblers

  • Ability to communicate any bottlenecks with engineers

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
