The Director, Professional Services will lead and manage the Professional Services division of PDT, ensuring high-quality service delivery that enhances our product offerings and meets our client's needs. This role is critical in driving the strategic planning and execution of services that complement and add value to the software and hardware we represent. The Director will also focus on aligning the professional services with overall business goals, increasing client satisfaction, and maximizing profitability.The Director, Professional Services will lead and manage the Professional Services division of PDT, ensuring high-quality service delivery that enhances our product offerings and meets our client's needs. This role is critical in driving the strategic planning and execution of services that complement and add value to the software and hardware we represent. The Director will also focus on aligning the professional services with overall business goals, increasing client satisfaction, and maximizing profitability. Role Responsibilities • Provide leadership and a point of escalation for a team of consultants, project managers, and technical experts. Ensure effective recruitment, training, and career development for team members. • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the professional services division, enhance service delivery, and increase profitability. • Provide oversight, ensuring customer outcomes are achieved on budget in a timely manner, and to the highest quality standards. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of service implementation. Validate and evangelize People Driven methodology. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Act as a senior technical point of contact for key clients, negotiate contracts, and manage client expectations. • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for selling professional services. Assist in the development of new service offerings and participate in the preparation and delivery of pitches and presentations. • Ensure all services meet compliance and quality standards. Implement continuous improvement strategies for service delivery processes. • Manage the budget for the professional services team. Monitor and report on the financial performance, and develop strategies to increase revenue and control costs. • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to ensure services remain competitive and innovative. Qualifications • Proven experience in a leadership role within a professional services environment, preferably in a VAR or technology-focused organization. • Strong understanding of the IT and technology reseller industry. • Enterprise level experience designing and deploying Network, Security and Collaboration technologies. • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery. • Strong client-facing and negotiation skills. • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field; a professional certification in project management or IT services management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are preferred.
