from \$101,404 - \$126,755.

JOB SUMMARY:
Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting
relationships, other relationships:
Supervises Technical Training team, focusing on creating a team
environment for different lines of business. This role will be
responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of training programs
associated with CMP\'s lines of business. The role will focus on
understanding customer needs, including assessing, creating, and
coordinating annual implementation plans in accordance with workforce
sustainability initiatives. Coordination of training schedules to ensure
the most efficient use of resources. Responsible for the establishment,
implementation and use of metrics to improve training process and
quality. Works in tandem with peers in Technical Training to develop
best in class training department across all areas of training.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
- Supervise Technical Training team members, providing guidance and
direction to ensure all technical training initiatives are completed
and add value to the Company.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new programs and
services to optimize employee productivity and provide for a
qualified and safe workforce.
- Prioritize customer requests and technical trainer schedules as
necessary, to ensure most effective use of training resources.
- Ensure that required training follows Company, regulatory, State and
Federal mandates.
- Working with trainers, evaluate trainees\' proficiency during
training sessions and report their performance and recommendations
to department managers.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize skill and training requirements
and develop curricula and programs to address critical gaps.
- Lead innovation projects to enhance the learning experience and
provide an immersive approach to technical training where
appropriate.
- Occasional travel is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience Required:
- Associate\'s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration,
Business Management, Behavioral Science, Communications or Education
is required
- Other candidates may be considered who have a High School diploma
and at least 13 years of directly related experience as described
below
- Working knowledge of adult learning principals and methodologies
- Ten years of utility experience preferred.
- Experience conducting technical training and resolving day to day
training issues
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for training and safe work
practices (e.g. OSHA, NEC, NESC, PURA, DOT, NGA)
- Technical knowledge of customer service and electric processes.
- Experience working with union environments is desired.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to design and conduct effective training programs (e.g.
instructional design, presentation skills, managing the learning
environment)
- Ability to lead a team across all operating companies
- Aptitude to identify and upskill training staff as appropriate
- Strong leadership abilities to navigate a matrixed environment
- Skilled in developing a team environment
