GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This position provides accounting support for payroll related accounts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and post journal entries to General Ledger (GL)
Process on- and off-cycle payroll journal entries in Workday; analyze data, and post to General Ledger
Work cross functionally with various departments including benefits, people services, treasury, joint venture accounting and general accounting
Review SOX documents that relate to assigned duties at least annually
Prepare and distribute recurring bi-weekly and monthly reports
Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations
Analyze wage fluctuations as assigned and respond to internal company questions
Reconcile and fund teammate deductions including 401K
Prepare communications such as emailsand process documentation
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
Potential for working overtime with little or no notice as needed
Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree or work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis
Minimum of one (1) year's related Payroll or Accounting experience required
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Word required; basic proficiency in Outlook required
Demonstrated Excel abilities including but not limited to formulas, graphing, subtotals, pivot tables, macros and V-lookups
