We are searching for a Packaging Engineer in the St. Louis, MO area. This role will develop innovative and cost-effective merchandising solutions (e.g. shippers, pallet displays, floor stands, etc.) and packaging components for food products.
This is a contract position expected to last at least 4 months and could be extended. Pay is commensurate with level of experience.

responsibilities:
Develop packaging concepts and prototypes for a catalog of merchandising solutions to offer our nut butter, fruit & nut and granola/cereal customers.
Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and ensure alignment with plant capability.
Analyze engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements to determine optimal packaging solutions.
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement to source materials, including sustainable package options.
Develop innovative and cost-effective merchandising solutions (e.g. shippers, pallet displays, floor stands, etc.) and packaging components for food products
