Title: Web Engineer
Reports To: Web Engineering Manager
The Rowmark Group proudly manufactures, markets and distributes a wide array of innovative and quality products for our customers primarily in the awards, recognition and signage markets. Our extensive product line of sheet materials are distributed in over 80 countries around the world.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Engineer with a strong interest in marketing to join our internal web development team. As a Web Engineer, you will contribute to e-commerce growth through feature development, maintenance, and enhancement of various company websites.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Web Development
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to implement user interfaces.
- Debug and resolve technical issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct QA testing across devices and browsers.
- Support marketing initiatives, including landing pages and social media integrations.
Key Metrics for Success
- Delivery of high-performing, secure, and scalable web applications.
- Effective collaboration with marketing and cross-functional teams.
- Continuous improvement in development processes and product quality.
- Consistent achievement of project deadlines and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of education or relevant work experience required.
Technical Proficiency
Skills:
- Basic understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Familiarity with one or more reactive web frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular).
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Basic knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with server-side languages and databases (e.g., PHP 8, Node.js, SQL).
- Nice to have: Experience with these specific platforms: Magento 2, Craft CMS, Algolia, Hubspot.
- Nice to have: Experience with build tools like Webpack.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team, including cross-functional teams.
