First Internet Bank of Indiana Senior Systems Analyst in Fishers, Indiana

About the Position:

As a Senior Systems Analyst you will provide technical support for our core banking solutions and strategic initiatives. This is a highly visible position and requires the ability to interact within all departments and levels of management within the organization. You will be responsible for assisting bank staff with deep technical support, implementation, and maintenance on banking operations products and services.You will work to ensure employees are familiar with and, as warranted by job duties, properly trained on the softwares features and best practices. You will often take a lead technical role on project and support initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the in-house product expert for banking operations products and systems, deeply understanding how our operations systems function, interact with one another and how to troubleshoot complex client and vendor issues.
  • Work closely with vendors, information technology personnel, bank management, and regulatory authorities on a variety of issues and projects
  • Work with business leaders to optimize the configurations and implement new features as business needs dictate, develop training materials, and train employees on the new features
  • Collaborate with vendors and the technical team to gain a thorough understanding of project functionality and provide insight on implementation.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of systems/applications
  • Assist departmental information gathering efforts through report writing and knowledge gathering assistance. This includes defining business cases and assisting with vendor due diligence
  • Create and update documentation
  • Work an expanded and flexible schedule in order to minimize customer impact while completing all assigned tasks
  • Act as a mentor and provide guidance to information technology personnel
  • Provide daily escalation support to staff by assisting with help tickets when issues or questions arise

What Were Looking For:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant financial institution experience required
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail are necessary
  • Understanding of online banking, card processing, and API integrations preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and query writing a plus
  • Ability to think through problems, identify hidden issues as well as stated issues, to provide an accurate analysis and to explore solutions
  • Interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with team members and all levels of business users and management
  • Adept at providing technical information to non-technical people through both written and verbal means
  • Ability to follow through with problem resolution quickly and communicate status throughout resolution cycle
  • Experience working in an Agile environment preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with testing and troubleshooting various software applications, including writing and executing test plans
  • High degree of initiative
  • Capability of working under limited supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
