The Fitchburg Housing Authority seeks to hire four Temporary
Maintenance- Laborer II positions who will be primary responsible for
vacant units turn-around including basic carpentry, painting, and dry
wall repair along with basic non-licensed plumbing work. The temporary
assignment is for six months with the possibility that one of the
positions could be permanent. Job duties include but not limited to:
basic carpentry, painting and minor HVAC, electric and appliance repair,
with primary duties being vacant unit rehab. Qualifications: Employee
must be at least 18 years or older, and able to pass a CORI check, drug,
and alcohol testing, and have the physical ability to move heavy objects
and operate power tools and equipment and have basic carpentry and other
relevant skills. Pay Scale: This is an hourly position up to forty (40)
hours a week at \$22.00 (up to 27.24 per hour based on experience) with
the potential for overtime. The FHA may consider part time positions
including on weekends. Benefit package includes: sick time and SMART
Plan (OBRA) retirement contributions (no employer matching). This is a
