Conduent Manager, App Dev & Support in Florham Park, New Jersey

Position Overview:

The EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of EDI systems and processes. The role involves leading a team of EDI developers, collaborating with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless data exchange, optimizing business processes, and ensuring that EDI solutions align with organizational goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of EDI developers and analysts to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI processes.

  • Provide technical direction and project management for EDI-related initiatives.

  • Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and support professional development of team members.

EDI System Development and Maintenance:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of EDI development, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

  • Oversee the integration of EDI systems with ERP, CRM, and other business applications.

  • Ensure compliance with industry EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and business partners’ specifications.

Vendor and Partner Collaboration:

  • Work closely with external trading partners, vendors, and suppliers to establish and maintain EDI relationships.

  • Collaborate with business partners to implement new EDI transactions and manage existing ones.

  • Manage EDI onboarding for new partners and troubleshoot issues related to data exchanges.

Project Management:

  • Lead EDI projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to ensure the successful execution of EDI initiatives.

  • Coordinate EDI testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes through automation and the expansion of EDI capabilities.

  • Monitor EDI system performance and proactively address potential issues before they affect business operations.

  • Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards in all EDI transactions.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI processes, mapping, and configurations.

  • Develop reports and dashboards to track the performance and status of EDI transactions.

  • Ensure proper change management documentation for all system enhancements and modifications.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in development and integration.

  • At least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role, overseeing development teams.

  • Proven experience with various EDI standards such as ANSI X12

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and middleware platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of EDI mapping, document types and protocols

  • Proficiency in EDI software and tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, EDIFECS).

  • Knowledge of database management (SQL), API integrations, and cloud-based EDI solutions is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $114,730 - $149,000.
