Prior experience working with Progressive Tool & Dies, Above-average Math skills, Ability to follow instructions, must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to read blueprints and have knowledge of GD&T.Description of Duties:Repairs and modifies tooling to support production;Builds fixtures for new production jobs;Performs preventative maintenance work on progressive dies;Provides problem-solving input from a tooling standpoint.Completes all company required documentation and procedures for preventive maintenance and tooling activities.Has the authority to stop production from running should he/she feel there is bad product being produced or there is a safety issue with die or its components.Follow all company safety policies (eg, Lockout tagout etc)Shall inform tooling lead of any perishable tools / blocks that may be required from working on dies both repair and preventive maintenance.Other duties as assigned.As a metal fabrication facility and “Big Three” , BMW, Toyota, and VW automotive supplier located in Forestville, NY, we welcome you to become a part of an exquisite team awarded for Zero PPM, Zero Customer Disruptions & Bestowed the Excellence Supplier Status in Recognition for Outstanding On-Time Shipping Performance to GM Customer Care & Aftersales.
