Job Summary:

As directed, the Warehouse Specialist (ASP) conducts a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of U.S. Army's supply procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work involves providing a second independent check of National Stock Number, Lot Number, Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC), Condition Code, count and storage location of ammunition and explosives during issue, turn in, inventory and preparation for shipping, assisting in the determination or determining proper markings and application of markings of lite cans of ammunition and explosives, proper placarding and compatibility of ammunition and explosives, assisting in the inspection or inspecting ammunition and explosives containers, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, verification of accuracy of Magazine Data Cards and Planographs.

  • Ensure that safety and physical security rules and regulations are followed appropriately.

  • Act as Warehouse Specialist Lead during absences.

  • This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Hourly Compensation: $19.06 + 4% Hazard Pay

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in warehousing.

  • ​​​Knowledge of Army logistical functions.

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Ability receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain a CAC.

  • High School Diploma/GED.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ammo-45 Introduction to Ammunition.

  • Ammo-112 Explosives Storage Safety.

  • Military Occupational Specialties 55B/89B.

Physical Demands:

  • include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
