Job Title: Civil Engineer PEJob Description
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a PE license (or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire) and a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and manage projects as well as mentor junior engineers. You will be responsible for managing civil projects from start to finish, with support from junior engineers and the design team. Additionally, you will work directly with clients and manage client-facing projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers.
Work directly with clients and handle client-facing responsibilities.
Oversee project management tasks including planning, budgeting, and execution.
Conduct site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
Handle water treatment, water & wastewater projects.
Prepare and review site plans and civil site designs.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for project designs.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience in water and wastewater projects
Strong client-facing skills
Ability to obtain CO PE license within 3-6 months of hire
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in stormwater, drainage, and grading projects
Experience in site development and site planning
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
Ability to lead and build a team
Ambition to grow within the company and take on leadership roles
Willingness to travel to Cheyenne once a week until fully ready to manage independently

Our company has been in business since 1978 and has had a presence in Colorado for over 10 years. We have a nationwide team of 400 employees and have continued to grow even in a down economy. The current manager has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering and is looking for someone to eventually take over their role. This position offers the opportunity to move into management quickly. We are looking to expand within Northern Colorado and build a presence in Denver over the next 3-5 years. We offer a 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and continued education benefits. The role includes hybrid work potential with a flexible schedule after the first month or two of training.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $57.00/hr.
