Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will work alongside engineers to create,
modify, and complete redlined drawings for various electrical design
projects. Drawing types to include single lines, three lines,
schematics, and physical design including site layouts, general
arrangements, elevations, component details, component bill of
materials, phase spacing, and clearance verification. Responsibilities may
include performing quality checks, drafting standard verification, and
mentoring junior designers and drafters.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-year technical or engineering certificate/degree or
experience/coursework directly related to the responsibilities described above
5+ years of related work experience
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and ability
to communicate effectively with project team members and clients
Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
Willingness to work as part of a project team in an environment that
encourages self-motivation
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience with 3D modeling, Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microstation
Experience with scaled drawings including site layouts and geospatial
referencing
Ability to implement various design and drafting standards
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for
sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the consulting industry
Experience with ArcGIS
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work
arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home
office. This position is based out of Barr's Fort Collins, Colorado, office.
NOTE: The position may involve field visits to client sites including
industrial processing facilities, power plants, renewable facilities,
and other heavy industrial facilities. Appropriate safety training will be
provided for the work at industrial sites.

Compensation:
The anticipated rate of pay for this position is $33.60-39.80/hr.
Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, and
other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for
a discretionary cash bonus. Our compensation comes in more ways than
