ENTRUST Solutions Group Substation Senior Technical Lead - Civil/Structural in Fort Collins, Colorado

*REMOTE POSITION WITH TRAVEL REQUIRED*

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform detailed quality reviews (QA/QC) in accordance with established quality procedures and provide PE stamping for projects as required on projects and assist in the development of additional Professional Engineers within the team.

  • Perform studies, calculations, and detailed Civil/Structural Engineering discipline design in support of Electrical Substation and other associated projects.

  • Work with Substation engineering program Directors and PMs in a SME capacity for coordinating, managing, growing, and development of Civil and Structural Engineering and design services related to Electrical Substation.

  • Lead and execute complex projects from full Civil and Structural scope estimating on proposals, through detailed design and steel procurement, to project construction bidding and construction support.

  • Direct a technical project team on structural steel and concrete analysis, design, and detailing, for transmission and distribution electrical substations with voltage classes up to and including 345kV.

  • Review and produce civil/structural design drawings including Site Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan and Details, Foundation Plan and Details, Oil Containment Plan and Details, and Structural Steel fabrication shop drawings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent

  • Professional Engineer licensure and ability to obtain reciprocity in multiple states

  • 10-12+ years of civil/structural engineering experience related to electrical power substation design for Coops, Municipalities, and/or IOUs.

  • Experience with RISA 3D, L-Pile, Civil 3D, EnerCALC, and AutoCAD are preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard building codes including IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AWS, ASCE 113, and NESC (Experience with IEEE standards a plus).

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% when needed within the continental U.S.
