Army Installation Management Command Plumber (Irrigation Technician) NA-07 in Fort Gordon, Georgia

Summary This position is located within the Support Services Division of the Fort Gordon Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation. This announcement is an open continuous from 02 August 22 to 30 December 22 with weekly cutoff dates starting on 09 August 22. All applicants will be reviewed and rated on a weekly basis. Responsibilities Makes repairs by removing, cleaning, replacing and sealing defective parts of lawn irrigation systems. Repairs/replaces sprinkler heads, piping, valves, couplings and other associated parts to include automatic control timers. Measures, cuts and threads pipe, bending sections to desired curvature and assembling for installation. Caulks, glues and seals such things as elbows, union joints and plastic and metal piping, to include tapping into pipes up to 8 inches. Digs holes and/or trenches to expose broken pipes for repair/replacement. Maintains adequate supply of repair parts. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must have sufficient training and experience to perform the duties of the position, on own initiative, under normal supervision.
