ASRC Federal Holding Company Fire Alarm Technician in Fort Greely, Alaska

ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician at Fort Greely, Alaska.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service and troubleshoot systems to diagnose problems and identify solutions.

  • Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.

  • Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.

  • During course of work will follow all safety regulations and practices.

  • Stay current and continue to grow as changes occur within field, on the job or with government requirements

  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.

  • Must be able to use a cell phone and phone apps effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • During course of work, must be able to balance, bend, kneel, squat, reach, sit, stand, walk, climb, push, pull, lift 50 pounds, grasp, communicate in person, by phone or through written correspondence; hear and see.

  • May be subjected to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, high places, hazardous chemicals or materials, repetitive motions, and working outdoors in inclement weather.

  • Must be able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools and climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.

Requirements :

REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Prior experience as Fire Alarm Tech or similar, prefer 2-5 years, more is better

  • Must maintain a valid US driver's license.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong communication skills including ability to speak and write in the English language to effectively conduct business with industry and Government, including oral presentations and written publications.

  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Experience with electronic testing devices.

  • Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.

  • Team player, leader and motivated to learn and take ownership and accountability.

  • Change agent, demonstrating courageous leadership driving and continuous improvement mindset.

DESIRED:

  • Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage or Security experience

  • Knowledge of sprinkler systems, special hazard system and suppression systems

  • Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications

  • Basic understanding of IT functionality
