ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking a High Voltage Electrician at Fort Greely, Alaska.
Job Duties:
Provide maintenance of substations, overhead, underground, power plants and other central electrical systems where high voltage currents exist.
Maintain electrical systems with charges above 600 volts.
Cleans, adjusts, and/or repairs electrical equipment (e.g. air and oil circuit breakers and remote-control supervisory equipment) to maintain equipment condition
Reads electronic schematics to diagnose problems in the electronic control circuitry.
Operates a variety of testing, calibration and repair devices, tools and equipment including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, insulation resistance testers, high potential test sets, circuit breaker testers etc.
Utilizes personal protective gear associated with high voltage electrical systems.
Adhere to all current CUI GFORCE standards and all electrical safety standards to safely operate and maintain the MDC electrical systems.
Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant high voltage experience.
Certified Electrician
Journey level experience in troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct malfunctions in power distribution/complex control systems
Must be able to read, research and understand schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products.
Proficiency in speaking and writing in the English language to effectively conduct business with industry and Government.
Handle interactions with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to balance, bend, kneel, squat, reach, sit, stand, walk, climb, push, pull, lift, grasp, hear, and see.
May be subjected to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, high places, hazardous chemicals or materials, repetitive motions, and working outdoors in inclement weather.
