ASRC Federal Holding Company Quality Control Inspector in Fort Greely, Alaska

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors compliance with the performance objectives (PO) of the contract.

  • Monitors compliance with quality requirements and maintains quality records.

  • Investigates, reports, and suggests corrective action for unsatisfactory customer service.

  • Schedule and perform Quality Control (QC) audits, inspections, or investigations at all MDA locations to verify conformance to the Company’s written instructions and the statement of work.

  • Evaluate corrective actions based on the findings of the QC/QA inspections and investigations.

  • Pro-actively apply problem solving skills and coordinate with all departments to resolve issues.

  • Generate written reports and Corrective Action Records and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve quality deficiencies.

  • Makes recommendations to Management to enhance the quality of services.

  • Assists personnel in the development of the section procedure documents that encompasses corporate policies and customer requirements.

  • Ensures functional checklists are reviewed annually for currency and documents this review.

  • Practices and promotes the principles of the continuous improvement program.

  • Works closely with government COR personnel and customers to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Assists with safety program compliance and the development of safety procedures and programs. May be required to perform other duties as needed to meet customer requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The following physical activities are frequently required of a Quality Control Inspector: balancing; bending; kneeling; squatting; reaching; sitting; standing; walking; climbing; pushing; pulling; lifting; grasping; communicating in person, by phone or through written correspondence; hearing; and seeing. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, high places, hazardous chemicals or materials, repetitive motions, and working outdoors in inclement weather.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must possess two years of related work experience.

  • Must maintain a valid US driver's license.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products.

  • Proficiency in speaking and writing in the English language to effectively conduct business with industry and Government, including oral presentations and written publications.

  • Handle interactions with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.

  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in quality control, job safety and hazardous materials.

  • Demonstrated experience inspecting facilities, equipment and individuals performing tasks.

  • Identifying, developing and mitigating job site hazards in remote arctic environments.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a volatile and diverse environment.

  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers and customer representatives.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
