Accounts Payable Manager

Job Description

An Accounts Payable Manager at our organization oversees the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, managing financial records, assisting with software implementation, and developing and supervising a large department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop staff, ensuring they understand the complexities of vendor preferences and requirements.

  • Review and audit aging reports for accuracy, maintaining accurate records of all invoices and payments.

  • Prepare reports and summaries related to accounts payable.

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of the organization's annual operating budget.

  • Resolve any issues with vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding accounts payable.

  • Plan accounts payable tasks, review work products, evaluate performance, and schedule and direct daily tasks and activities.

  • Establish procedures and guidelines to mitigate the risk of theft and fraud.

  • Assist with other accounting functions as needed.

  • Support the development and amendment of relevant codes and ordinances for board approval.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing large AP teams (10+ Specialists preferred)

  • Proven experience in management, development, and full-cycle AP process improvement

  • Experience with Netsuite ERP preferred

  • Experience implementing ERP/ERP upgrades

  • Experience processing invoices for multiple entities in a high-volume environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Driven

  • HS Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $48.00/hr.
