The City of Fort Lupton is looking for qualified Police Officers to join our
ranks. Whether you have recently completed law enforcement academy or have
experience, please consider us.
We have recently increased the rate of pay for our openings and can now offer
higher pay for lateral transfers. Our starting pay for officers is as
follows:
P.O.S.T. certified with less than 2 years of experience $70,720
After completion of one year Initial Performance Review Period with the City
of Fort Lupton - $76,440 per year
Lateral Transfer with 2-3 years of experience - $82,160 per year
Lateral Transfer with 4-6 years of experience - $87,880 per year
Maximum pay - $99,320 per year
Starting salary is calculated based on total completed years of law
enforcement experience in accordance with established service credit policy.
The Fort Lupton Police Department is offering up to a $10,000 hiring bonus
for qualified Police Officers
Colorado Police Officers with two years or more of consecutive law enforcement
experience may qualify for a $10,000 hiring bonus.
Experience requirement excludes training and field training time.
Experience must be served with one law enforcement agency.
Only patrol experience counts towards the two year requirement.
Must be in good standing with the law enforcement agency (termination or
significant discipline may disqualify applicants for the $10,000 bonus).
Colorado Police Officers with less than two years consecutive law enforcement
experience may qualify for a $5,000 hiring bonus.
Must be in good standing with the law enforcement agency, if currently or
previously employed by a law enforcement agency.
Termination or significant discipline from most recent law enforcement
employer, if applicable, may disqualify applicants for the $5,000 bonus.
Applicants who are currently in a POST academy, or graduated within six
months prior to applying, may also qualify for up to $5000 tuition
reimbursement, subject to a two year employment contract, in addition to
the hiring bonus.
The hiring bonus is paid in two installments. The first half of the bonus is
paid upon completion of initial training (including field training). The
second half is paid upon completion of the initial performance period.
