Summary About the Position: As the Regional Logistics Manager between Division, subordinate districts & the Logistics Activity Center, you will serve as functional expert and principle advisor to the Division Commander & staff on all aspects of logistics management. Manages logistics career programs for subordinate employees in the transportation, supply, and maintenance management career fields. Develops logistics portion of operational and contingency plans in support of division unique technical and emergency management missions (i.e. COOP); planning duties supporting initiatives and projects identified by USACE Logistics Corporate Board. Formulates regulatory, operational, and policy guidance in the absence of higher headquarter guidance. Performs real property management program oversight which includes all division and district facilities except the civil works project specific property; e.g., locks, dams and power plants. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing logistics functional programs such as supply management, transportation, facilities, maintenance; military, civil works, and contingency planning; and completing studies and projects by utilizing knowledge of program objectives, organizations, functions, and missions of various organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term Appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term Appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
