Summary About the Position: This position is located on Fort Shafter, Hawaii, which is near the Historical Palm Circle on the island of Oahu. Evaluates and makes recommendations concerning overall plans and proposals for telecommunications programs within the area of responsibility (AOR) of HQ US Army Pacific (USARPAC) G6, Communication and Information Networks and Joint/Coalition Network. Develops plans, policies, and procedures; defines and implements requirements; directs operations; and manages telecommunications programs for command, control, communications, computers, and information management (C4IM) with USARPAC G6 AOR. Provides oversight and management of 40 plus Theater level exercises and all associated Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events. Represents USARPAC G6 as telecommunications expert and technical authority at conferences, boards, committees, panels, and reviews. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance pertaining to C4IM (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management) systems and programs to senior leaders of the organization and other representatives internal/external to the agency; and planning C4IM exercises that support theater-wide, real-world operations for organizations within the assigned area of responsibility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
