Army Installation Management Command Fire Protection Specialist in Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Summary About the Position: Serves as the Fire and Emergency Services, Health and Safety Officer for the Directorate of Emergency Services at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Inspects low and moderate potential risk organizational facilities and sites, including field sites, and coordinates the inspection of high potential risk facilities and sites with the Installation Safety Office. Incumbent assures DES FES employees complete any and all medical examination requirements for position held. Incumbent reviews all DES FES training plans, SOPs and lesson plans for compliance with established safety requirements/regulations. Duties include but not limited to: Developing, reviewing, and revising rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures IAW applicable codes, policies and standards specific to occupational safety and health programs. Develops and monitors the effectiveness of a risk management plan. Ensures the risk management plan is revised annually as it relates to firefighter health and safety. GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Demonstrate ability to assess risk and implement risk control measures during all emergency response incidents; Implement tactical objectives to execute overall fire emergency services incident action plans; and Articulate risk control measures for system, funding and fire protection program shortfalls. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
