The Testing Technician Intern provides hands-on technical and testing support throughout all phases of the product lifecycle. This is a versatile position that blends a variety of engineering disciplines, knowledge, and experiences. This position reports to the Research and Development Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support Testing Department staff with hands-on, practical product evaluations by proposing processes, building test apparatuses, following test procedures, documenting findings, and making recommendations
Perform routine testing (such as energy efficiency and corrosion) in addition to one-off testing for new projects
Report on and work to resolve any issues that arise during testing
Verify that tests comply with specifications, codes, standards, and requirements, and are not deviating from predetermined criteria throughout the testing process
Ensure tests meet all intended goals, and are completed on time, on budget, and within scope
Provide test data in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner
Help with the creation of test plans, procedures, documents, reports, and forms that support the testing process and define best practices
Assist with the organization, calibration, scheduling, and maintenance of all testing and RandD Lab equipment
Champion the 5S cleanliness and organizational initiatives for the RandD Lab
Support the logging process and upkeep for First Articles and Samples
Assist with RandD and Design Engineering projects as needed, and collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and production personnel to support a wide variety of other projects and business needs
